NOXWELL builds one thing: a private, drug-free routine for men who snore — and for the people who have been listening to it.

Why we started with snoring

Snoring is the rare problem where the person who has it is the last to know how bad it got. He sleeps through it. She doesn't. And because nobody wants a fight at midnight, the conversation usually stops long before the problem does.

By the time most couples look for a solution, they've already been sleeping in separate rooms for months and calling it a work thing. More than a third of American couples now sleep apart. Researchers have a name for it — sleep divorce — which tells you how common it had to get before it needed one.

What we think everyone else got wrong

Walk down the sleep aisle and every product treats snoring as an obstruction to be propped open: strips for the nose, sprays for the throat, guards for the jaw, wedges for the pillow. They all work on the plumbing, and they all stop working the night you forget one.

The noise, though, comes from muscle that has gone slack. And muscle is the one thing on that list that responds to training rather than propping.

What we will and won't say

There is published research on training these muscles — a randomized trial in CHEST reported large drops in snoring frequency and intensity. That trial tested an exercise protocol, not our device, and we say so everywhere we cite it. We built on the idea; we didn't buy the credential.

We also don't tell you this treats sleep apnea, because it doesn't, and pretending otherwise would put someone's heart at risk to close a sale.

How we'd like to be judged

Not by a badge, a fake press logo or a number we made up. By whether the person sleeping next to you notices a difference inside a hundred nights — and by whether we make it easy to get your money back if they don't.

That's the entire pitch. The honest version of everything else is here.
